    because in asia, golf gti’s are the ultimate speed test O-o

    @Yanp87 DSG transmission is cool, faster, fun and economic.
    VW has also an one-gear automatized transmission, from Magneti Marelli, called ASG, the same used on Dualogic Transmission (Fiat), but there’s no fun on it, completely unconfortable.

    @acasey2001 Give my car a push? What is it, a datsun 180 or something?

    why the drift king look like fishmen,lol,but he looks nice guy

  • rforracing said:

    00:43 Look how fast that guy’s foot work is and even then the manual is slow.

  • mikethebeast1012 said:

    @acasey2001 well ALL clutches will need replaced eventually the differences is the DSG ones are tiny compared to a regular one since the shift points are so carefully controlled, also i would disagree with real men drive with 2 feet since F1 also uses a sequential gearbox

  • acasey2001 said:

    @mikethebeast1012 its only been what 4 years? I’m talking down the line when a clutch would need to be replaced. But idk bro something about the option to put my car in D just doesn’t sit well with me.
    “Real men drive with two feet”

  • mikethebeast1012 said:

    @rceckspurt13 i agree i love my DSG

  • mikethebeast1012 said:

    @TranceMatzl15 there must have been something wrong with the one you tested because i tested and now own a DSG, it upshifts faster than a person could even begin the process to shift, the downshifts are not as quick but still faster than i could ever achieve myself, you should test another when you buy your next car

  • mikethebeast1012 said:

    @acasey2001 i have never heard of anyone needing the clutches changed yet (im sure its happened but its not common at all) you can even far exceed the factory torque rating on the DSG and still not have any issues

    DSG Vs Maunal
    DSG: Damn my car wont start
    Manual: Same here mind giving me a push ill dump the clutch … Thx Cya!

  • acasey2001 said:

    @mikethebeast1012 and i love that fact that i need to buy 2 clutches now!

    nice!!!!!

  • mikethebeast1012 said:

    @bcapecci its just the programing you can get it reprogramed so there is no “forced gear change” as you said, but to call the DSG an automatic would be to prove your automotive ignorance, it is in every way better than a manual excapt that you dont have the same feeling of the shift, other than that it is entirely better

  • Yanp87 said:

    DSG is faster… even Ferrari has abandoned manual gearbox in favor of DSG gearbox… not saying it’s more rewarding though… and the reason it is faster than a manual is because it has two clutches, one for 1-3-5 gear and another for 2-4-6, so when you’re in first, the second gear is already engaged, so you lose less time in neutral between shifts, this is where you will win time over a manual…

  • gtdrummerdude said:

    It’s an auto if you use the definition you mentioned. However, it’s a manual gearbox with electronic solenoids to move the shift forks and two clutches to do the clutch work. An actual automatic transmision is a completely different design so by design, it’s a manaul transmision, it just shifts for you.

  • TranceMatzl15 said:

    no not really dude. i´m driving the Golf IV R32 witha manual h-shifter , if you don´t know what that is, search on google.

  • Liist said:

    @TranceMatzl15

    Sounds like you were driving the R32 with just the automatic gearbox with the “manual shift” option.

  • bcapecci said:

    @sicsico DSG is essentially an automatic. If you don’t have complete control over which gear to select I call that an auto. DSG will still autoshift. They are on a completely flat track where you wouldnt see the dsg force the car into a gear that isnt preferable. On motorsport cars that use any type of paddle shifting like rally and f1 there is not a forced gearchange (sequential is similar shift not dsg). You can chip it not to do this though but I’m thinking it isn’t worth it

  • TranceMatzl15 said:

    the problem is the delay of one second. i´m driving a golf R32 with h-shifter but i also tried the DSG version, when you´re shifting with paddles the car shifts after a delay of 1 sec…that´s really crappy and not sporty!the same with downshifting, with h-shifter i push the clutch and can shift down 2-3 gears , with dsg i have to wait 1 sec till the car shifts down.
